A gang targeting Tayside businesses with fake cheques has made off with £45,000 of goods in recent weeks.
Police Scotland has since warned retailers to be vigilant for the scheming crooks.
The most recent crime involved a garden centre in Stonehaven.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said three men entered the premises on Wednesday March 23 and acquired furniture and clothing worth over £4,500.
The suspects paid for the items with a cheque which later bounced.
The items were later found for sale on a well-known online site.
